Clay Jack's Top Ten

Clay-Jack's TOP TEN

10. Getting people to smile & talk to him...then, pretending like he's shy
9. Water ~ to drink & to play in
8. Singing & talking to himself
7. Cruising around the house looking for places to get stuck
6. Random people in the store
5. Birds or "bubs" in Clay language
4. Cheerios
3. His crib at bedtime and naptime
2. His blue silky blanket
1. Da-Da & Ma-Ma

Clay-Jack is ten months old. He is cruising around & pulling up in all of the places in our house that he can find. His smile is infectious and he loves to try to get people to smile at him, then he hides his face from them once he gets their hard-earned smile. Outside he looks for birds when we say the word bird, and he will usually say, "bub" or "bib" when he spots one. So...the teacher in me is glad that he's hearing the beginning sounds of words. Clay has parts of both mine & his Dad's personalities but, the part of him that I most identify with, is how much he loves to go to sleep! He may not stay asleep for the appropriate amount of time, but 98% of all naps he smiles at you as soon as you put him in his crib. This month he has definitely grown, but he has not really put on much weight. He is a joy & we are grateful for him.

I cannot believe that my own sister did not call me upon seeing these pictures. Our Clay really has grown up this last month. I love these shots on the beach...it makes me want to be there...only 2 more months. Happy 10 months, Clay Jack. We love you.

Your mama dresses you well! You may not ever remember your time on the island, but you will have so many cute pictures (blogs and scrapbooks!) to commemorate your Hawaiian birth to toddlerhood. You are precious, funny and smart, Clay!
