On October 8, 2005 the Kennedy's of Kailua went from a family of two to a family of three! Clayton Jack was born and our lives changed forever. This week he will celebrate his one month birthday and is getting used to his laid back mother and wondering what in the world his dad looks like. For now his days are filled with eating, sleeping and looking at the curtains in the living room (who knew that black curtains were the best investment to make him happy?).
Clay weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long. Although there is a bit of controversy surrounding that official birth length, as he was 21 1/2 inches just two weeks later. So, I've decided he grows at an unbelievable rate (just kidding), or they measured him wrong after birth. So, he'll go down in the record books as a short, pudgy newborn...but I'm still hoping that Clif's genes will kick in someday and he'll be big and tall like his dad.
We've been fortunate to have Tutu (my mom) help us adjust to our new life. She came about a week before Clay was born and will be here seven weeks total! It has really been a blessing. In just 10 days, Clay will have a grandmother switch and Mam will come to stay for a few weeks. We are excited for another family member to meet Clay and tell us how beautiful he is! I will try my best to keep his life as updated as possible for our family and friends in Texas...but anyone who knows me at all knows that may or may not happen. So, for now I'll try to get pictures published and give short (yeah right) descriptions of how he's growing!
